Fits well and great quality
But because I wanted the style of jacket without paying big money. No regrets.I only wear this jacket in cold weather, not rainy weather. That’s why I gave a one star on the water resistance rating.

Comfortable Jacket
The jacket was problem-free, but the pocket stitching wasn’t up to par and began unraveling after a few uses. Despite this, the overall quality is good. I’d still recommend this product due to its good price and comfort.

very good value
very good overall and warm for the price. the main problem is there’s no drawstring at the bottom / it’s not tight at the bottom at all so if you use it as an outer layer for walking outside in cold/wind, your chest will be warm but cold air will get all the way in through the bottomotherwise i’d say it looks just as good as any more expensive jacket

Excellent Value
I picked up this jacket for use in moderate cold weather. It is lightweight, reasonably warm, packable, and makes a nice pairing with a wind shell to increase warmth in windy weather or when stepping out into rainy weather. Bottom line is that it delivers lightweight warmth at a great price.

It’s warm
The one modeled here is much fuller. The one I got is flatter but it’s warm, especially if used as a layer for much colder temps.

Men’s Jacket Fits True to Size
As a female who orders clothing on Amazon, I find that I usually have to order one size larger than my usual size for a proper fit. So, when I ordered this jacket for my Dad for Christmas, I ordered it in both a medium (his usual size) and a large based on my own experiences. The medium was the perfect fit and even had long enough arms for a man who is especially picky about arm length. The jacket is very light weight and comes with a small stuff sack for packing. That size allowed for some light layering, including a thin polar fleece vest in more warmth was needed.

Great quality Great Price
My son wears this jacket everyday he doesn’t take it off throughout the day at school because he says the classroom’s are cold. His last jacket this one replaced was name brand and cost more he literally wore holes in the elbows and forearms from being at his desk. The old coat was black so it hid more dirt and got washed less. This coat gets worn just as much and washed more frequently and it is holding up great. We will definitely replace it with the same item when the time comes.

Good quality at a good price
Comfortable, light weight, and relatively warm puffer jacket at an excellent price. I’m 5’9″ at 155lbs but my Medium felt a bit small (tight around shoulders and chest). Also wish it had an outside chest zipper pocket and drawstring at the bottom to tighten around the waist for more warmth.

Not for big shoulders/chest
Quality construction and good price but ‘asian’ fit. Little tight in shoulders and chest. I’m 5′ 10″ with a 50 chest, XXL usually fits comfortably.

Definitely not for very cold weather
Purchased this for a trip to Paris in spring. The ‘puff’ is almost nonexistent. Its basically a thin double layer of polyester rain jacket material. Not meant as a puffer jacket at all. Imagine bubble wrap once you step on it, that’s what it felt like. Also the arms were short. I got size small for my 14 year old don who is 5’ 4” snd very average build. So may not be long enough fir a grown man.

Can’t beat the warmth and price
Just delivers what you expect — a light warm down jacket. I ordered one a few years ago and it was a little thinner than this one. XL fits on 6′ 3″ just right. I wore this with a long sleeve shirt and light hoodie underneath, in -10 F (negative 10!) weather and was snug as a bug in a rug. If it’s 20 degrees F you just need a long sleeve shirt underneath. I love that both pockets have zippers, and there are two large pockets on the inside too (no zipper), big enough to fit a squirrel.

My homeless shelter asked for help – this is what I sent!
Montana has been so frigid this year, it was -40 around Christmas. So when our homeless shelter asked for help, I ordered several of these jackets and many dozens of warm socks sent directly to them. It’s amazing how good I felt doing something for others! It was my Christmas present to myself.

Lightweight and warm
Bought this on a whim when buying something else on Amazon. I was in need of a thinner/lightweight puffy but wasn’t wanting to spend a ton on something at the time. This puffy is actually quite decent for the price. I throw it in the truck as a “just in case” jacket for me (or more often the wife) or use it as a mid layer. Obviously it isn’t built for walking through brush, rain, or anything tough but it’s a good jacket and overall happy with the buy. The color looks great too.

Rugged, Comfortable, and Warm.
Works very well for the price and thickness, it’s quite roomy. I’m regularly outside for short times in 0 to -20 and it holds heat in well by itself. A shell style jacket would be a nice compliment for prolonged exposure to colder temperatures and wind.

Warm & comfortable!
I’ve never had a puffer jacket, but a friend recommended one for our upcoming trip as a warm jacket I could easily stuff down into a pouch… and it worked great! Kept me warm when I needed it to and stuffed into my backpack on hikes once it warmed up. Recommended!

It grew on me…
I’ve come to like this jacket. At first, I was a bit cynical about the reviews. The garment is thin and I was looking for a different level of warmth. I purchased a size larger than normal and dressed in layers. It is an easy go to on cool days. I will have to purchase more colors in the future.

We bought this coat for our son this past winter. It’s a nice light jacket but warm. He would add it over his hoodies but could easily be store in his backpack if needed. We would purchase this coat again!

Sizing is super random
The quality of the jacket is great, but it is a total crap chute as far the sizing is concerned.I ordered a Medium originally, and that turned out to be surprisingly snug. I used it anyway. But the following year, I wanted to buy another one, so went L with that. Turns out the L was HUGE. I gave that away to someone who it fit better, and bought another M for myself. This time, even the M was way too big! Not quite as big as the L but still way too big for me. I’m guessing the M that I had originally gotten must have actually been an S then?Bottom line, it’s a great jacket, but be prepared to be surprised by how your size fits.

Pretty Warm!
Super light weight Jacket that excels at keeping you warm. Does very well in Cold Winds and Snow seems fine on the material. A light rain is OK but, A real rain shower would soak it pretty quickly. I had tried other brands and all fit is most ways except the armpit area. All others I had tried were tight in the under arms; This one gives enough room and for a decent price.

As described, Nice jacket
For the price, this is a really nice jacket. It fits really well, so sizing seems to be pretty accurate. The warmth of the jacket isn’t top tier, but that’s not what I was expecting when I made the purchase. Wasn’t looking for an extreme winter jacket. It’s really nice for a mildly cold day that has the possibility of warming up throughout the day. Jacket is pretty comfortable and comes with a pouch that you can stuff the jacket into to pack away. Would recommend.

I wanted a lighter coat and this fit the bill. It is light weight and warm. The weather changed in February and the temps dropped down to the 30’s with strong north winds. This coat kept we warm and the wind off.I would recommend this over most of the same style name brand coats.

I could not recommend more than for the pack rat who loves storage space.
I have 3 things to tell you 1 how functional the jacket is, 2. The amazing use I got out of the jacket as a pack rat, 3. A story involving me, this jacket and a day trying to explore the Cape Cod in the cold.1. This jacket provided me with amazing warmth from 35f as a Floridan who has never seen snow and you’d expect to freeze over this jacket provided me amazing warmth from the cold climate and ocean breeze in the cold of winter.2. As a photographer it is sometimes cumbersome to carry all my equipment I need, but not only that often having it all in my camera bags makes it hard to switch to a needed accessory, or lens at a moments notice often making me not switch up my stuff while taking photos often, however this jacket has provided me with more pockets, zippers, compartments, ect than I could of ever dreamed of, one inner pocket for important items like a camera lens, cleaner, cap, ect the other inner pocket for a portable charger and with the help of long cords you can power any device around you, a little drawstring pouch for wallet, keys, ect, things you cant afford to lose and it tucks away on the inside of the jacket, then outter pockets beside to keep your hands warm, deep one being able to hold your phone your hand and so much more the other easy for keeping gloves and a beanie or other items that you may want to take on or off throughout your day. With the outer pockets with zippers so you can secure your things but even unzipped with how deep the pockets are good luck with anything falling out which leads me to my number 3.3. I throughout the day talking pictures and videos I fell on multiple occasions, 4 times to be exact, each one comedically getting funnier and more out of place, busting my butt, knees side anything to prevent me from falling on my camera gear, and often with normal jackets things may fall out of your pockets but for this jacket and every fall not once did I lose anything or have to worry about anything falling out. cementing in the fact I had to leave a review telling you the people how much I love this jacket. The one and only downside is that there is no hood to this jacket, hopefully amazon will make a new and improved version with a hood, for the mean time I just double layered a hooded shirt and kept a beanie with me which will work as well

Re-purchased because he loves it
My husband LOVES this jacket. It is an absolte stable, so when he ripped his first one, while working around exposed screws in the attic, he had me order a new one to replace it, the very same day. This is great for layering, all seasons and will absolutely keep you warm in very cold temps. great fit and great quality. If you are looking for the high-end outdoor look and performance, without a huge pricetag, you are in the right spot.

Wore on Cotopaxi
I wasn’t sure how this jacket would hold up on our world travels so I held off on writing a review BUT I think it’s time.Pros: Size medium purchased for both me and my husband. I am 5’4 (busty) and it’s length is just below my hips (mid butt). Which is great when you sit, it won’t ride up. Fit is enough for a long sleeve and sweater underneath. Jacket is light weight and the fold up bag it comes with is perfect for travel. The jacket has deep pockets on the inside as well as deep zip up pockets on the outside. All four pockets are about the same size but to give you an idea of the depth of one pocket; I can fit: cell phone, gloves, and wallet/coin purse. Does not distort shape in wash, hang dry.We were able to wear this jacket on the Cotopaxi volcano view point (not the summit). I wore this jacket in 30-50F (0-20C). Keep in mind the benefit to the jacket is you can layer. If you are looking for a jacket that will keep you warm and compact this is a great jacket.Cons: If you are looking for a ski coat or winter coat this is not that type of coat. There isn’t a loop to hang the jacket. After 7 months of use the zipper teeth sometimes do not align. * Easily fixed by rezipping jacketIn conclusion, considering the excessive use and multiple washes the jacket is a great purchase.

Not as warm as hoped for
Surprisingly nice and comfy jacket for the price, however not as warm as I had hoped, so will be purchasing something more substantial for the really cold winter days. Great jacket for somewhat cooler temps, just not for the 30’s and 40’s without a lot of layering underneath

Survived European Backpack Trip
I bought this to take on a trip through the UK, France, and Italy. The jacket I purchased is yellow. I wanted something that would be adequately warm on a cool spring day so I wouldn’t have to bring another sweatshirt or have to pack long sleeve shirts. I also wanted something that folded up very small as I was only taking a backpack for 10 days. This jacket fit the bill perfectly. It comes with a bag which will compress the jacket down to about the size of a smaller shoe, but the way I found best to pack it was to fold it into quarters, flat, and put it on top of my clothes in my backpack. The jacket would compress almost completely flat, adding almost no bulk to my bag. It was like a magic trick how small it became. When I wanted to have it handy, but did not want to carry it, I would stick it through the handle of my backpack, pulling it halfway through, and it would stay there securely when I put my bag into overhead luggage storage on the Italo and Eurostar, making to easy to grab if I became cold. There were some cold and very windy evenings and nights when we were in London and Paris (50 degrees F, with a strong breeze coming off the Thames and Seine) and this jacket kept me warm with just a t-shirt on underneath. I encountered a brief rain shower on the Path of the Gods and stayed dry and the jacket dried pretty quickly. I can’t speak to how well it would perform in a heavy downpour as that was the only rain I experienced during my trip. Overall, this jacket was perfect for me and at the price point, I was not going to be upset if it got lost, stolen, or ruined. After being stuffed in my bag over and over and shoved into overhead storage, the jacket still looks brand new. Not to mention it looked stylish in all of the photos my wife and I took! I am 6’6” and weigh about 190lbs and I bought a large. It fit well without a lot of extra bulk and the sleeves were long enough for my wingspan. 10/10, would recommend!

Philmont Approved!!!!
I purchased two of these jackets as a lightweight backpackable jacket for our 12-day Philmon trek in the Sangre Cristo mountains of Northern New Mexico. During our trek, we had 2.5 days of rain in altitudes over 9,000 feet. The lowest temps were mid to high 40’s, windy and wet! These jackets did an outstanding job of keeping us both dry and warm. In fact, during one particularly heavy rain, I discovered my old Army ACU wet weather top was in fact no longer waterproof. I pulled off the top and this jacket which I had underneath my wet weather top was soaked in the front, back, and arms. However that moisture/wetness never touched my skin. This jacket also served as part of my pillow setup and in spite of the exterior being wet, and in the absence of NNM’s low humidity, the jacket dried quickly, and I was able to use it as my pillow. I would without hesitation recommend, and purchase these jackets again. When I say “Philmont Approved”, just know that means more than someone’s opinion after taking it out of the package and posing in front of a mirror. To recap the benefits:1) Lightweight: The jacket packs easily into the included bag and was attached to a carabiner on the outside of my backpack. It stayed secure through bushwhacking trails, hiking through trees that tried to grab everything, and scaling up and down some steep mountainsides. My son kept his bag attached to the loop in the jacket and that worked very well for him.2) Water resistant: We both wore these during a few days of sprinkling rain and 2.5 days of legit rain- rain. Water never breached the inside of the jacket and made contact with our skin. That is a win!3) Warm: This jacket kept us warm in the very cool mountain air of Northern New Mexico, both dry and wet weather. I’m not going to tell you that this jacket will keep you warm in freezing temps because we did not encounter that kind of weather. But I will tell you that when it was in the mid 40’s and my sleeping bag zipper was broken, and I was quite cold, I put this jacket on (and lost part of my pillow) but was warm and toasty!4) Quality: The zippers work great. Zippered external pockets were a huge plus to reduce the chance of important things (like snacks or other small doodads that I used) from falling out and being lost. The deep interior pockets were great for holding my phone (for pictures). The only issue I had was that I tore the loop out. It was dark and I was having a hard time getting the bag unknotted and broke the loop by force. It wasn’t a failure on the jacket – it was a failure on my patience!5) Dries quickly: After it got wet underneath my “notta wet weather top” it dried quickly and was able to fulfill it’s purpose as part of my pillow setup.Summary: This is a solid choice for a lightweight outer shell for cooler weather, and will work even if there is some rain in the forecast. It is lightweight and breathable enough to work as a sub-layer if you have a lightweight rain jacket to help break the wind. I did not notice the wind getting through this jacket, so I believe it serves well in that regard. Also, if it survived my teenage Scout and all his rambunctious rock climbing and goofing around, then it should serve you well. I purchased the Dark Olive Green because it’s similar to the Ranger Green clothes I wear for Boy Scouts, and my son purchased the Light Brown because he likes that color. Both colors look good. The Light Brown is similar to Coyote Brown, but a little darker. The OG version was also cheaper at the time of purchase.

Good cheaper alternative but not for heavy use
I bought for the purpose of travel and outdoor use in those times where temps can change drastically from 70F in the morning down to 40F at night.I got this on sale for $20 which was a far cry from $60-120 asking price of other packable down jackets. For the price, it’s much warmer than I thought and has well thought out features. So far I’ve worn this in 42F weather, coldest and just going on a walk I was breaking a bit of a sweat with it half zipped. It has 2 exterior pockets and 2 internal pockets. Personally I wouldn’t put too much in these, as I can really feel the thing stretch and drag down. Just gloves, hat, phone etc. should be fine, nothing like a can of soda or something. Water resistance is what you expect for thin nylon stuff, a few drops is fine, actual rain, get an umbrella or an actual waterproof layer. It’s also pretty windproof, took it out in the aftermath of a pseudo hurricane and didn’t feel the wind.It packs down pretty well into a 6 inch long 3 inch or so bundle but nothing like the high tech hiking stuff, I just wish there was a shorter loop so I can carabiner it to my pack easier but seems like it was intended to be carried like an umbrella. Also wish it packed into itself rather than have a bag which may get lost one day. The material imo isn’t very durable, I have no rips yet, but I’m not confident and think if I rub on something the wrong way it’s going to tear. The stitching seems fine so far, and doesn’t seem to be leaking filler yet.Sizing wise, I have a 45 chest and usually wear XL, but this is kinda big even for an XL, maybe because they were antiicpating you layer something like a thick sweater underneath. It is also a bit long for my torso, about 2-3 inches more than I need to sit at my waist. I have 23 sleeves and that fits perfect.I don’t expect this to last a long time, but it’s useful for the time I’ll have it.12/28 edit:So I just used this exactly for what I bought it for because of the huge winter storm that swept across the north and east coast US. Temps went from nearly 60 degrees in daytime all the way down to 23 by late afternooon with extremely high winds that were throwing doors around and knocked some street signs off their mounts, and it was perfect. I just had a t-shirt underneath and on top of this was a gymax waterproof windproof jacket. Again my only complain might be if the material doesn’t last and it’s a bit long.

Light weight, warm and definitely wind proof…..a keeper!
I was looking at another companies catalog with a jacket similar to this and their name-brand version sold for about $199. Given I have other jackets I wear as well and in that I could try this Amazon version for less than a ¼ of the price, I ordered it in Dark Green Large.Fit is perfect. Tailoring is excellent. Perfect stitching and fit. The “puffer” collar forms a gentle and firm seal around the neck against wind on th neck and coming down into the jacket. The sleeves are only elastic, but, are not too loose or tight and offer just enough room to be comfortable while being snug enough to block wind coming up the arms. This jacket includes 2 zip outer pockets that are very deep. No problem holding gloves or even the largest mobile phone securely. There’s a deep inner pocket too on left and right of the inside.A storage bag is includes and if you’re traveling, once inside it, this jacket will take up very little space.Fit at the bottom is loose, not elastic and no cord, but, they tailored this so it does not flare way out and it should avoid wind coming up inside the jacket.I tried it in a light sprinkle rain, the Nylon exterior did well to repel the drops. The good news is since this jacket is light weight, it’ll dry fast either hung up or into a dryer on low.A down jacket it is not, but, it sure felt as light and warm as any down jacket I’ve owned in the past.5 Stars. A keeper the first time I tried it on during a windy, overcast, damp and chilly day. It passed my tests 100%.

Versatile light-mid weight jacket – perfect for multi-uses
It’s impossible to find anything I don’t like about this jacket. I’m completely surprised – especially because of the low cost. I was not expecting this level of quality, look and feel. I wanted a light weight jacket that could be layer under and especially for travel where space and weight is a concern and I didn’t want to pay a lot of money for it. I looked at a LOT of jackets and they were either too warm, too bulky or too cheaply made based on reviews. And then I found this incredible jacket. It exceeded my expectations in all categories. I would say the temp range is from 20-45 degrees with fairly minimal layering/under garments, but that will depend on just what you wear underneath. It definitely does a nice job of breaking the wind, so with fleece underneath, it could be toasty at 15 degrees. It’s extremely comfortable – it barely feels like you are wearing a jacket at all. I’m 6’1″ with a 42″ chest, 180 lbs, and a large fits perfectly with sufficient space for movement and a layer or two. The length is perfect at just below the waist and the sleeve length perfect – I wear a 36″ sleeve. As others have mentioned the collar does not turn down, but it is a pretty minimal collar and with this soft material, I find I really like the collar the way it is. The material is soft and pliable and never feels stiff and uncomfortable. I bought the Heather Green and it’s really a nice color that has a great casual look and it’s not that shiny look – it’s kinda matte type finish. I’ve gotten a lot of complements on it. And when I tell people what I paid they are blown away. The jacket has two large lined and very deep exterior side pockets that zip and one large interior vest pocket that does not zip or close which is fine by me. Velcro would have been annoying. And finally, it comes with a separate bag with a draw string that secures the jacket when rolled up. And the bag can attach to the inside coat hanger loop if you desire, which is how it came and the way I use it. The water resistant feature is nice for drizzle and mist, but I’ll wear it underneath a waterproof windbreaker in rainy conditions. This will become my go to travel jacket. This is indeed a home run for Amazon Basics and I highly recommend this jacket.

excellent jacket
It is so lightweight, and yet super warm. we can’t figure out how it works. The fit is just right. We ordered the rust color – it was a tiny bit cheaper, but mostly because everyone has black puffer jackets and we were afraid someone would take the wrong jacket. This one comes with a great little pouch and it rolls up inside it, very small. It smooshed easily into the backpack and took up very little room. Highly recommend 10 out of 10 would order again.

Fair deal
Weight and Comfort (5/5): As advertised, this puffer jacket is incredibly lightweight, making it perfect for transitional weather. It’s comfortable to wear, and the lack of bulkiness allows for easy layering, which is a big plus.Warmth (4/5): Given its featherweight construction, I was pleasantly surprised by its ability to provide adequate warmth. It’s great for chilly mornings and cool evenings, but I wouldn’t rely on it for extreme cold conditions.Packability 4/5): This jacket’s packability is a standout feature. It folds into a compact size, making it ideal for travel or as a backup jacket that you can easily stow away when not needed.Versatile Design (2/5): The jacket’s simple, minimalist design makes it versatile. It pairs well with various outfits, from casual to semi-formal, adding a touch of style to any ensemble.Cons:Durability (4/5): While the lightweight design is advantageous for comfort, it does seem to compromise the jacket’s durability. The fabric feels somewhat delicate, and I’ve noticed a few loose threads after only a short period of use.Limited Cold Protection (4/5): Despite its decent warmth, this puffer is not suitable for harsh winter conditions. It’s best suited for milder weather or as a mid-layer during colder months.Price (3/5): The price is moderate, but considering the concerns about durability, some might find it a bit steep for what it offers. There are more robust options available at a similar price point. Conclusion:In conclusion, the lightweight puffer jacket I purchased offers a mix of positives and negatives. Its featherweight design, comfort, warmth for moderate weather, and packability are definite highlights. However, concerns about durability and limited suitability for extremely cold weather may be drawbacks for some users. If you’re looking for a versatile, lightweight jacket primarily for transitional seasons and are willing to handle it with care, this option might suit your needs. Nonetheless, if durability and cold-weather protection are top priorities, you may want to explore other options at a similar price range.
